ABUJA-Confusion in Ijaw land as Ijaw Eagle Eyes has accused Ijaw governorship aspirants and its lobby group of betraying Ijaw course for their personal interests.

The group in a report made available to newsmen by its spokesperson, Mr James White on Monday, said Ijaw leaders have betrayed the most anticipated struggle for Ijaw governorship in Delta state.

It was learnt that there was a meeting held in some weeks ago in Abuja where discussions were made on the modalities of compensation for Ijaw governorship aspirants and the lobby group headed by Alaowei Brodrick Bozimo.

The group alleged that the meeting was attention by Okowa, Broderick Bozimo, James Manager, Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Dr. Braduce Angozi, EK. Clark, and others.

It was reported that all Ijaw aspirants and lobby leader Broderick Bozimo were asked to make demands to step out from the governorship contest which they did.

The report said: "Fibble and old men are afraid that their political carries may end after 2023 hence they came up with the mantra of Ijaw Ijaw turn to produce the 2023 Governorship. Let's be factual how old is Sen. James Manger now and how old will he be after 2030? Can he resign from politics the answer is no because parasites cannot survive outside their host....This is why he mortgage 2023 ambition to accept settlement to produce the Bomadi, Patani DTHA members, 5 commissioners slots and to lobby for a ministerial appointment.. This is another plot to hijack the future of Deltans.

"Broderick Bozimo an old man struggling to be everywhere, he wanted to hijack the Ijaw National Congress but failed the only available window was to dive into politics of confusion using the Ijaw name as a unique selling brand possible to get into the system through indirect means. His Settlement... State Attorney general for his son and SSG.

"Kingsley Otuaro another political selfish one, even as a deputy Governor his political office has not made any positive impact on the Ijaws not even his personal capacity as the state deputy Governor. It appears he is not jostling for 2023 Governorship; his settlement at the meeting was to produce, House of assembly Warri South West again, Desopadec chairman and Warri federal constituency.

" While Braduce Angozi, former Burutu LGA boss, a political jobman, big one for that matter. In Delta State he is PDP, in Abuja he is APC; His settlement was to produce SSAs and to be place as commissioner designate in the next political dispensation.

"Alaowei Bozimo visited in Warri their visit to the former governor and Bozimo said, “So far, we have three volunteers for the governorship from Ijaw nation. We have the Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro, Senator James Manager and Mr Braduce Angozi.

"The statement is clear that those men are hijackers of Ijaw destiny to their pockets, they sponsored that useless, selfish idiotic moves to enrich themselves and to receive cheap attention.

"To prove how useless that move was, Ijaw traditional rulers under the auspices of Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, Friday, said "it has advised Ijaw politicians who are aspiring to be Governor of the State in 2023 not to work against the system. Gaskya, the Ijaws are not in support of such foolish selfish moves.

"These Furu otu don't even care about the youths and others who have genuine aspirations, all they want is to amount followers and people the could slashing their salaries, it is truly shameful". The group added.
