Former Delta State Commissioner for Justice and 2023 governorship aspirant, Peter Mrakpor, has instituted a legal action against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Vide Suit no/ FHC/ABJ/CS.

A source in Nigeria, Mr. Collins U. revealed that Mrakpor had resorted to legal actions over a plot by the governor, PDP, and INEC to hijack the elections in favor of Sheriff Francis Oborewori.

"This marks the beginning of a legal battle as can be confirmed from what was taught to be a mere joke from Mrakpor that he will jail Okowa"

The aspirant withdrew from the governorship race for settlement, but find his way back, Okowa was not ready to settle any aspirant.

Mrakpor also accused stakeholders, Okowa that they have given directives to all PDP delegates across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state, to ensure that the current Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Sheriff Oborevwori, who is a gubernatorial aspirant for the 2023 elections, emerge during the primaries.

He described the process as hijack and destruction of internal democracy
